Our transitional mid-century modern bridal shoot took place at the Fathom Gallery in Georgetown. The venue lives up to its name and is perfect for styling because it operates as a blank canvas. What are blank canvases known for? Adding beautiful creations to. This makes Fathom Gallery an ideal space for weddings and events too. Brides and grooms can enjoy the polished industrial-modern space on its own with minimal decor, or amp up the styling without the worry of clashing with the pre-existing architecture or interior designs in the space.

We used the garden / outdoor patio space for our ceremony mock-up. Two blooming towers were constructed from Lucite risers and decorated with asymmetrical layers of floral clustering in a modern-garden style. The fountain was also glammed up with a mix of candles, blooming floral gardens, and a pinch of floating blossoms in the fountain basin.

We created a floral lounge space by repurposing items from the ceremony and fountain mock-up and combining them with the venue's decor. A perfect photo op for creative bride and groom pictures or solo portraits!

Our 2-way reception mock-up was filled with colorful blooms and decorative vases. The florals were designed a bit more organically in comparison to the ceremony mock-ups to really drive the midcentury modern appeal home. So focusing a bit more on function, and a bit less on form. For the most part, simple shapes, rounded out / even designs, and also the incorporation of natural materials like wood and clay. Gold taper candle holders, sea glass votive holders, an eclectic mix of vases, and a handful of vibrant and pastel transitional seasonal flowers set the tone for a fabulous dinner scene.

Traditional table chargers were swapped out for decorative sea-foam bubble glass plates and translucent salad plates with gold foil accents were layered on top and finished with a fan-tail napkin fold. Stemless silver metallic wine glasses provided a contrast between all the golds, greens, and blues. Cobalt ombre watercolor name cards were thoughtfully designed and provided by Remembered Events.
